We exist to bring
PASSION OF CHRIST
- LUKE 19.10: “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
PRESENCE OF GOD
- Acts 3:20-21 “That times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, whom heaven must receive until the time for restoring all the things about which God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets long ago.”
POWER OF THE SPIRIT
- Luke 24:49 “And behold, I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you; but you are to stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.”
5 WORDS OF PURPOSE
We value the presence and work of the Holy Spirit in our worship services. Core question; is our worship inspiring the believer and engaging all guests? – Romans 12.1-2 – In practice: Sunday morning worship experience, prayer services and lifestyle worship.
We value preaching the Word of God at all times that all may hear, call on the name of the Lord and believe. – Core question; is our preaching equipping believers and calling all to respond to the Word of God? – Romans 10.8-15 – In practice: Sunday morning, other services and small groups Scripture is our foundation.
We value personal and corporate prayer and pray together often, expectant that God will be true to His Word and that we will encounter His presence. – Core question; are we relying on prayer to be the difference in our lives and make a difference in our community? – James 5.13-16 – In practice: Sunday pre-service and altar prayer times, prayer groups throughout the week, and personal prayer emphasis.
We value the fellowship of believers and commit to loving our community in word and deed. – Core question; is our love providing everything needed in the church and bringing favor in our community? – Acts 2.42-47 – In practice: Monthly church-wide fellowship, small groups and community event participation and leadership.
We value the unique giftings of each generation and seek to empower each rising generation. – Core question; are the older generations embracing the future and the younger generations building on the past? – Psalm 78.3-7 – In practice: generations involved in teaching younger and blessing each other – there is no retirement in the Kingdom.
We value loving people with purpose, teaching them the Word of God, helping them grow in spiritual disciplines, and leading them into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. – Core question; “what does your church do?” Answer – we make disciples. – Matthew 28.19-20 – In practice: The Growth Track is made up of three steps – 1) connect to the church, – 2) discover the strengths of your purposeful design, – 3) develop your God-given gifts to make a difference in the lives of others.
